About 2 years ago, I started having pains in my right calf and back of the thigh. It started after I tried doing some yoga backbends without squeezing my glutes. On a scale of 10, the pain went up to a 4. Over time, the pain went away. completely.
Or so I thought
There were a few times last year in my ragtop diy tank where I felt some pain in the right leg.
Now in my new build, just now, my right buttock and upper right thigh were hurting. The tank was showing me that I had perfected a tension configuration to mask the pain. And the tank wasnt having it:
you either relax completely and get thoroughly healed or get out.

so I laid there and the pain lept up to a 4 or even 5. But I kept letting the tank do it’s magic. And what was the magic?
- laying with no stress on the body whatsoever – effectively no pressure on any part of the body whatsover, allowing full natural extension of the body.
- epsom salt as a muscle relaxant
- water to lubricate and loosen the muscles
- sensory reduction to allow the mind to quit tensing up and reacting to external stimuli
